Reading Queer is happy to announce our first Writer in Residence, Chazz Chitwood. Chitwood is a 28 year old gay writer living in North Miami Beach. He has his BA and JD from University of Miami, and is currently a MFA candidate at Florida International University. Miami-raised, Chazz writes poetry, lyric essays, and fiction with an eye towards gender, sexuality, male relationships, hybridism, trans-humanism, myth, science, and science fiction.
Join RQ and Chazz Chitwood for our first RQ Literary Salon of the season at The Betsy Hotel – South Beach, Saturday, March 18th, 2018 @ 7:30 PM for an evening of insightful conversation on the writing process with the queer literary community.
About the RQ Writers In Residence: The goal of the RQ Writers In Residence is to support a thriving community of queer writers in South Florida. The two residencies offer local local queer writers time and space to create and share new work at The Betsy Hotel – South Beach.
