The Miami Foundation and The National LGBTQ Task Force has once again recognized Reading Queer for its commitment to promoting queer literary culture in South Florida with a $6,500 2014 GLBT Community Projects Fund Grant. The Miami Foundation and The National LGBTQ Task Force provide support to exceptional community programs and we are honored to be among several LGBTQ organizations chosen to receive a grant this year. With the grant, Reading Queer can enhance its outreach programs, hire queer writers to lead community-based creative writing workshops, help fund the annual Reading Queer Literary Festival and help find new ways to empower the queer literary community.
