Reading Queer’s second Mimosas & Mocktails event is A Prose Open Mic featuring Philip Dean Walker. Join us from 1-2:30pm (EST) on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Those wishing to read in the open mic will need to complete this registration form. Anyone who wants to watch or particpate can sign up on Eventbrite.
By registering for the open mic you agree to adhere to a 5 minute reading limit, attend the entire event, be respectful and be courtesy to all of the event participants. Open mic slots are limited. Open mic registration closes on 5/12, and participants will be notified by end of day on 5/13.
About the featured reader: Philip Dean Walker holds a B.A. in American Literature from Middlebury College and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from American University. His first book, At Danceteria and Other Stories, was named a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of 2017. His second book, Read by Strangers, was named a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of 2018.
