Jenni Person, Reading Queer Advisory Board Member, is a performer by training and a 20+ year veteran of arts administration. She is Executive Director or Next@19th, a Jewish culture organization in Miami working to move Jewish culture forward. Also a writer of creative non-fiction and poetry, she founded Miami’s first poetry slams (taking a team to the National Slam) and served as co-Slam Master of the Jerusalem Slam in Israel. Her writing has been featured in local and national publications as well as several journals and chapbooks. Jenni received a BA in Drama from Bennington College and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College.
