This mission is accomplished through cultural programming in a variety of disciplines including a music series and festival, a literary series, film and visual arts programs and discussions exploring or rooted in Jewish culture in an active contemporary context.
EOAGH publishes contemporary writing and criticism (innovative, experimental, avant garde, queer, trans). We publish books as well as a yearly journal. EOAGH: A Journal of the Arts is concerned with reading as a process, the productive chaos of investigative poetic work. These acts of attention explore the close listening inherent not just in writing but also in being written.
Founded in 2010, Sibling Rivalry Press (SRP) is an independent publishing house based in Alexander, Arkansas. Our mission is to publish work that disturbs and enraptures. SRP is proud to be the home of Lambda Literary Award Winner and Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry Finalist He Do the Gay Man in Different Voices by Stephen S. Mills. We’re also home to Assaracus, the world’s only print journal of gay male poetry and one of Library Journal‘s “Best New Magazines,” and Jonathan, our journal of gay fiction. While we champion our LGBTIQ authors and artists, we are an inclusive publishing house and welcome all authors, artists, and readers regardless of sexual orientation or identity.
The Krane is a Non-Profit Organization whose purpose is to bring strong, intelligent, and profound art and theatre (that doesn’t mean it’s not funny too!) to the global community. We’re based in Florida, but our troupe travels, just like the troupes of old. Our company has put on a variety of performances that have played successfully in Key Largo, New York, Arkansas, Amsterdam, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and beyond. We also hold writing and painting workshops and continually go out into the community, joining with high schools, colleges, and universities, as well as communities that are underdeveloped and in need of cultural infusion.
SobeSAFE Riders was formed by a group of friends to participate as a team and raise money for The SMART Ride. The SMART Ride began as a dream to create a bicycle event where 100% of pledges raised could go back to the communities to be used for direct services….and so far $4.2 million dollars have been raised. 100% has been given back to the communities to assist with direct services for individuals infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Project L.E.A.P.’s mission is to improve the lives and cultural outlook of our local GLBTQ teens and allies by providing them with opportunities and focus in the performing arts. Through dance and creative communication sessions, we will provide a platform for self-expression and a demonstrate how the arts can be used as a medium of social change and awareness.
